Professional Beta Reading

Beta readers provide invaluable feedback for an author, but most of them are unpaid volunteers. So you might ask why you would pay for me to beta read when you could get one for free? Not all beta reads are equal! Do you want to pour your best into a novel or story, send it out to be read with butterflies in your stomach, and wait weeks for feedback only to be told

“Yeah, it’s good.”?

For a beta read, I provide detailed in-text commentary through the manuscript and then a one to two page summary of my thoughts. This gives you a basic idea of what’s working, what’s not, and a big-picture critique of the story as a whole.

 I charge by the word. My prices are lower than most beta readers I’ve found because I think every writer deserves a good beta to give them honest, kind, and detailed feedback.

I also provide a line by line proofreading service. I do not have professional training as a proofreader, but I make up for it by being very budget friendly!
